Trim Levels and Features


The 2013 Soul is offered in a choice of three trim levels and with a great selection of options. Making it clear how awesome the higher trim levels are, Kia named them "+" and "!" respectively, as they don't even need words to sell you once you see them in person. Here is what all three trim levels offer:

       
  • Base - Power accessories, air conditioning, four-speaker stereo with CD player, and satellite radio.   
             
    • When equipped with the automatic transmission, the base model also includes cruise control and keyless entry.

    • Audio Upgrade package will add automatic headlights, a rearview camera, and an Infinity stereo system.

  • ! - A sunroof, upgraded headlights and upholstery, fog-lamps, and the contents of the +'s Audio Upgrade package.
       
  • The Premium package adds leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and a navigation system.       


Powertrain and Performance

The 2013 Soul is offered in two powertrain options. The base model comes equipped with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a six speed manual transmission with hill start assist. A six-speed automatic transmission is available as an option. This powertrain achieves an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

The upper trims, + and !, are equipped with a 2.0L four cylinder engine that produces 164 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The + comes standard with the manual transmission with the automatic as an option, while the ! is available with the automatic only. The 2.0L engine achieves an estimated 26 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.
