What to Expect From the New Sportage

2012 was a record-breaking year for Kia in terms of sales, thanks in part to a new brand image heralded by the automaker's distinctive new visual identity - the look includes a signature tiger nose grille that has rolled out across the automaker's lineup. That means that Kia has found a winning formula, and chances are that the 2014 Sportage will see its exterior aesthetic remain roughly similar, while being refined for the new model year. Chances are that we'll see some revised sheet metal, including new front and rear fascia as well as new side panels. There's a good chance that the head and taillights could be revised, too, with high quality Xenon or HID lights being standard.

The Sportage is already one of the quickest compact crossovers around thanks to its available turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that cranks out 260 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. It's possible that the 2014 Kia Sportage could see that engine as an option in some of the lower trim levels, or paired with a manual gearbox.
