The 2025 Kia K4 For Sale at McGrath Chevy of Dubuque

The all-new Kia K4 for sale at McGrath Kia will be replacing the Forte compact sedan and is slotting just below the larger K5 sedan. The K4 offers a fresh design with a fastback roofline inspired by the sporty Stinger, along with wide rear fenders for a dynamic, athletic stance. While the base engine carries over from the Forte with a 147-horsepower four-cylinder, the top-tier GT-Line Turbo trim adds excitement with a 190-hp turbocharged engine for those seeking more power and performance.

The K4 is slightly larger than the outgoing Forte, with a roomier interior designed to comfortably accommodate rear-seat passengers, making it competitive with models like the Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Jetta. The K4 is expected to hit dealerships in fall 2024, with a hatchback variant likely arriving by 2026.

What's New for 2025?

Kia introduces the K4 nameplate to North America as the successor to the Forte. An electric version, possibly named the EV4, may also join the lineup, signaling Kia's continued commitment to electrification.

Engine and Performance

Most 2025 Kia K4 models feature a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). While the base powertrain delivers efficiency, drivers seeking more performance can opt for the GT-Line Turbo, which boasts a 190-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GT-Line Turbo also upgrades to a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension for improved handling, while other trims feature a torsion-beam setup.

Fuel Economy

The K4 with the base four-cylinder engine achieves impressive fuel economy, with EPA ratings of 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway, positioning it as a fuel-efficient option in the compact sedan segment. The GT-Line Turbo's fuel economy ratings are not yet available, but it's expected to be slightly lower due to its enhanced performance.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the K4's clean, modern design emphasizes user-friendly features, including physical controls for essential functions. Higher trims come with a dual 12.3-inch display setup, combining the infotainment screen and a customizable digital gauge cluster into one seamless panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available in-dash navigation ensure drivers stay connected. A smaller 5.0-inch display is dedicated to climate controls for easy access.

Safety Features

All K4 models come standard with Kia's suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, including:

  • Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist
  • Available adaptive cruise control with lane-centering

Advanced safety options include an evasive steering assist feature and more sophisticated adaptive cruise control with lane-centering capabilities.

Warranty and Coverage

Kia continues to lead with its industry-best warranty coverage, offering a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty-far surpassing most competitors in the compact sedan market. The K4, like the Hyundai Elantra, provides peace of mind with this extensive coverage.
