A Pre-Owned Forte Offers Drivers a Tough Powertrain and Amazing Features

The Forte was first produced in 2010 and has seen some changes over the past few years. In 2010 the base Forte was offered with a 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine that came standard with a five-speed manual transmission; both a four-speed and a five-speed automatic transmission were available options. For 2011 the Forte continued to offer the five-speed manual transmission, but dropped the four-speed and five-speed automatic options in favor of a new six-speed version. If you want more power than the base engine provides, you can choose the premium SX trim which is powered by a 2.4L inline four-cylinder which generates 171 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque.

When it comes to features, the generation 1 Forte really has it all. The base level LX trim comes standard with Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and Sirius XM radio. The mid-level EX trim adds cruise control, power windows and locks, a six-speaker stereo system and keyless entry. In addition to the more powerful engine, the SX trim also offers alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport cloth seats, and a tilting and telescoping steering wheel. Later production SX models included soft touch panels on the doors, armrests, and dashboard.
